Monday – Wednesday, March 19 – 21, 2012

The Woodstock Inn and Resort, Woodstock, Vermont

An intensive program for Senior Management in Business, Government, Non-Profits, Academia and Entrepreneurs that will change the way you lead your enterprise.

WHY INNOVATION?       confrealgraph

Meaningfully unique products and services make more money.   Period. If you want to get out of commodity markets, and sell on value, then you need to innovate and offer more meaningfully unique services and products to your customers. Two Georgia Tech studies found that businesses focused on Innovation realize double the profit margin versus those who sell based on low price.

WHY NOW?

If America does not innovate, our children will not realize the American Dream. American workers, managers and business owners need to transform from a culture that fears failure to an offensive culture focused on growth. We need to learn again how to transform every company into a growth company that makes money because the services and products offered are worth more to customers.

In the past Innovation was slow and risky. Today, there is a SYSTEM that increases innovation speed while decreasing risk. The Innovation Engineering Management System is a proven system of validated tools.  Over the past 25 years, this system was only available to the big companies - Nike, Hewlett Packard, Walt Disney, Procter & Gamble, Schlumberger and Ford Motor Company. Today, thanks to the US Department of Commerce’s NIST/MEP Network it’s available to organizations of all sizes. The Innovation Engineering Leadership Institute is the primary educational component of the Management System.

WHY YOU?geotechgraph

The world is changing and you need to be changing faster than the marketplace to stay ahead of the market. As the Leader, it's your responsibility to instill and implement systemic solutions.  Thus, if you don't have a reliable SYSTEM for growth, you owe it to yourself and to your employees to learn about Innovation Engineering.

Read below what past attendees have said about their experience with the Leadership Institute....

I really enjoyed the event over the past several days.  I could not possibly have found a better way to spend my time than attend the three day workshop led by Doug Hall.  This morning one of my guys stopped in with a report about a conference he was at and talked about a market activity and I gave him a yellow card.  We quickly covered what I wanted and he went away happy to have a way to express his concept.  I was contacted by a manufacturer of a unique product who mainly produces very high end tools for the military community looking for innovation.  We discussed a concept for using students to work on his project and I will be using some of the tools we discussed this week to integrate the project into an entrepreneurship course.  I am looking forward to working together with VMEC to better understand and practice the process.  - Phil Susmann, Vice President, Norwich University

That was one of the most interesting and exciting conferences that I have been to.  It has had a considerable impact on my view of my job responsibilities.  Thank you for hosting this program and making it available to the public.  - Jean Giard, SVP/ CFO, Vermont Federal Credit Union

Over many years I have participated in many motivational or information based seminars and usually they get me excited at the time but the effects drop off rather quickly. What Doug has developed goes way beyond the class to an action plan that is doable and supported - those things make it a true first for me and the Internet site and its support more than make up for the cost of the course. Jim's going to look into the schedule to see when he might go himself. - Margi Brownfield Swett, Owner/Engraver, Vermont Trophy & Engraving

I decided that attending the three-day event would be a good move - one that would potentially net us some new ideas and ways to approach our process.  It was that - and much more. — Linda Rossi, Assistant State Director, Vermont Small Business Development Center

I wanted to thank you again for your diligence to get us to participate in the Innovation Leadership program. We have spent the morning sharing the excitement throughout Classic Designs.  We are all excited about our future thanks to you, Eureka! Ranch and all the staff at VMEC. — Dave Redmond, General Manager, Classic Designs
