Administrative Lean
Becoming a lean enterprise involves eliminating waste to improve processes and there are improvement opportunities in all business departments. A successful lean enterprise transformation includes the entire company, not just the shop floor. VMEC’s Administrative Lean program teaches these principles in a language familiar to administrative employees and in their own environment. Examples of front office processes realizing significant impacts include quoting, customer service/order entry, new product definition and release, engineering change orders, and shipping.
This program was created to blend with the Lean manufacturing transformation, but it also stands alone for service industries looking to improve their operations. The basics are the same as with Lean manufacturing, just applied differently.
