Brian Werneke was hired as a Professional Manufacturing Advisor in August 2007 and is based in VMEC's Burlington office. He has over 15 years of practical experience in the manufacturing, financial services, professional services, and healthcare sectors having held positions in technical sales, marketing, e-commerce, strategic planning, client relationship assessment systems, quality management and project management. Brian has worked broadly across enterprises from the shop floor to the executive boardroom coaching and facilitating organizational transformations in continuous improvement. He was recently certified as the first Innovation Engineering Black Belt in the country, and has been working with Vermont manufacturers to implement an Innovation Engineering Management System to increase their speed with Innovation while reducing the risk of Innovation. Prior to joining VMEC, Brian was a Project Manager and Business Analyst for BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont. He also worked as an Independent Quality Consultant for Whitetail Manufacturing, Inc. in Williston, VT, assisting them with the implementation of their ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system registration. Brian is a 1994 graduate of UVM with a BS in Mathematics, and he received an MBA from Clemson University in 2001. Brian primarily concentrates on delivering assistance and services to Vermont manufacturers located in the northwest area of the state. When he is not working with clients, he enjoys skiing with his family and spending a little bit of time in his hop-yard, where he grows his own hops for home brewing. |
