VMEC Director / CEO
Bob has held key management positions in manufacturing companies where he gained diverse practical experience in operations, finance, sales and marketing, human resources, and information technologies. Prior to VMEC, he was Vice President of Operations for a leading manufacturer in the paddle sport industry. He also worked in the granite industry for 17 years, including 9 years as a partner and President/CEO of a leading granite manufacturing company. Bob has served as a corporate officer and Board member for a number of private companies and national and regional non-profits. In Vermont, he is an ex-officio member of The Vermont Technology Council. |
Bob is the Director and CEO of VMEC. He has more than 39 years of leadership, management, and manufacturing experience. He is a 1972 graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy. After serving 5 years in challenging positions as a Coast Guard officer, he voluntarily resigned and moved to Vermont with his family to pursue a career in manufacturing. Bob joined the Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) when the Center first opened its doors for business in January 1996.
